Barbara is a long-time supporter of creating an Independent Police Review Commission. She knows that police reform begins with community-oriented policing and recruitment of good police officers, not “defunding” the Police Department.
I support Barbara Bry because she’s had the courage to call out the culture of corruption at City Hall and stand up for the taxpayers who are being fleeced by the political insiders. With the city looking at major deficits in the next year, who do you trust to stand up to that union and protect basic city services for taxpayers? The one whose campaign just benefited from a quarter million dollars from the union, or the one who has a history of standing up for taxpayers? I’d put my money on Barbara Bry.
I will bring leadership that puts solutions for San Diegans first, prioritizes fiscal discipline, stands up to the special interests, treats all residents and communities fairly, and creates comprehensive solutions to long-standing problems.
